Tickets

To purchase tickets online, visit our homepage. All of our shows have online ticket sales and it’s recommended to purchase in advance as shows may sell out.

Box Office is open on show nights from door time until 10:00 p.m., and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is subject to change and the box office may be closed on major holiday weekends.

Refunds are only available in the event of a cancellation. No exchanges. In the event of a cancellation, all refunds will be given at the original place of purchase. Tickets purchased via phone or internet will be automatically refunded.

Will Call opens 1 hour before doors and will be available until the show ends. If you need to transfer your will call tickets to a person other than that of the credit card holder, please call Ticketfly customer service at 877-987-6487. They can also help you with any questions about your previously placed order. (Some performances will not allow tickets to be transferred to another party in an effort to allow more fans access at the original/face value of ticket prices. These are clearly marked “Will Call Only” events.)

Can I give my tickets to someone else? Yes! You can now transfer tickets directly to friends or family via your Ticketfly account. Simply type your recipient’s email address into the Ticket Transfer section of your account, and select the tickets you wish to transfer. Your recipient will then receive and email asking them to accept or decline the transfer.

General Admission or Seated? Both! The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall is a general admission venue with limited seating. However, the venue also accommodates fully seated shows as well. In some instances, at the discretion of management, tables and/or chairs may be placed on the general admission floor. Access to those are first-come, first-served.

If you require an ADA seat, please email information@theuctheatre.org and we will best accommodate your needs based on overall ADA demand.

How can I find out more about accessibility for ADA/people with disabilities?
The UC Theatre is fully accessible to all. There is no separate ticketing option. If you have any questions or need our attention to personally accommodate your needs, purchase a ticket and then email the venue office directly with your request and ticket confirmation number at information@theuctheatre.org. We do not hold an allotment for patrons with disabilities.

Would you like to purchase tickets without a service charge? Cash purchases are at face value, subject to no service fee. Credit card purchases are at face value with a 3% credit card processing fee, but no service fee. You may also purchase tickets on any show night when the box office is open. Tickets are subject to a $3 service charge per ticket during these hours.

Entry Info

For everyone’s safety, guests are subject to bag searches and various levels of screening, subject to artist and management discretion. Some examples of items that are not allowed include: weapons, sharp or dangerous items, large markers, food, beverages, illegal drugs, wallet chains, mace, stickers, flyers or multiples of items intended for resale or distribution, cameras with detachable lenses, video/audio recorders, no cameras with flash, tripods etc. We also don’t allow drug paraphernalia, spray paint, laser pointers, vapor pens, or smokeless cigarettes. Please use good judgment. If you have specific questions, please call our box office. This list is subject to change show by show, or at the performer’s request.

Age Policy: The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall is an all-ages venue with the exception of babies in arms. Every person must have a ticket. Please bring ear protection for your child, as this may be required at certain shows, at our discretion. If we are presenting a children’s event, we may alter this policy. Please check the specific event for information.

Please note: the audio recording and camera policy frequently changes based on the preference of the artist(s). Many performers allow small personal pocket cameras but require a press pass for professional gear. Video is never allowed.

Alcohol: To purchase alcoholic beverages, patrons must present valid government-issued photo identification and be at least 21 years of age. (United States-issued ID card/drivers license or passport only. No exceptions.)

Re-Entry: There is no re-entry once you have been admitted into the venue, although re-entry is permitted from our designated outdoor smoking area.

I forgot to bring cash! Does The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall have an ATM? No we don’t, but we accept all major cards. Please note that our Coat Check is cash only.

How can I see photos and videos of past performances? Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for photos, videos, concert announcements, and more!

Can I bring in outside food or drinks? Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Do you have a Lost & Found?
Yes. For lost and found items, please visit the box office (open one hour before the first show time of the day) or call the theatre at 510-356-4000.

Are you affiliated with UC Berkeley?
No. The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall never has been, nor is it currently, associated with the University of California. In 1917, when the Theatre was built, University Avenue was considered the gateway to downtown Berkeley and the entrance to the campus at the top of the street. Because of its proximity to the campus and its location on University, the Theatre was named in honor of the esteemed academic institution.

How is the renovation of The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall being funded?
The $5.6 million project is funded through a philanthropic capital campaign and private sources.

When did the new music venue open?
The UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall held its first live music concert on April 7, 2016 with Dark Star Orchestra.
