Ghostface Killah
Ghostface Killah
American rapper and member of Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah, is critically acclaimed for his loud, fast-paced flow, and his emotional stream-of-consciousness narratives containing cryptic slang and non-sequiturs. In 2006, MTV included him on their honorable mention list of The Greatest MCs of All Time, while the editors of placed him on their list of the Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987–2007), calling him "one of the most imaginative storytellers of our time." Q magazine called him "rap's finest storyteller." Pitchfork Media stated that, "Ghostface has unparalleled storytelling instincts; he might be the best, most colorful storyteller rap has ever seen." NPR called him "a compulsive storyteller", and asserted, "His fiction is painterly."
Corey Woods AKA Raekwon, born January 12, 1970 in Brooklyn, New York) is an African American rapper and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan. Though he isn't as commercial as other Wu-Tang Clan members, he released, in 1995, the album "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" that was acclaimed world-wide and is considered as one of the best Wu-Tang solo albums. He is a pioneer of the Mafioso rap concept and sound.
Unlearn The World
He's never won any awards, yet his words win over hearts and minds. He's never been part of the "Freshmen Class" or on the cover of any magazine, but his message is in a class of its own, proving to be just as potent and relevant as any rapper on your top five list. Considering this, it's safe to say that UnLearn The World is probably the dopest MC you've never heard, but need to listen to. As a born and bred product of the late 90's New York City underground Hip Hop Scene UnLearn takes the best from all dimensions of song writing, in order to showcase his substantive, yet accessible brand of lyricism, while he chronicles the emotions, triumphs, and tragedies that make up the Urban American experience.

UnLearn began receiving serious notoriety when he was given the chance to join the Lyricist Lounge Club Series Tour, opening up for the group Boot Camp Click. Positive audience responses to his live show allowed him to extend his stint on the tour, continuing on the road for another two months, performing spot dates with acts like Young Bloodz, Dead Prez, Killa Mike, Killa Priest and Hip Hop Icon, Big Daddy Kane and working with artists and producers like The Beatnuts, Jean Grae, Fat Joe and Jake One.

More recently, UnLearn has become an energizing force within the Bay Area Hip Hop scene. With co- signs from members of Hieroglyphics and other OG's of the Bay, UnLearn has been a mainstay and now Co-Director at Return Of The Cypher, the popular weekly live Hip Hop Cypher event at San Francisco's Boom Boom Room. UnLearn is also the Vice President of the All Tribes SF San Francisco Chapter of Zulu Nation and a Hip Hop Educator for several Oakland based Non-Profits, teaching kids the history and culture of Hip Hop as well as Beatmaking.

As a follow up to his debut "Wake Up Call" album, UnLearn recently released 2 albums in 1 year, his self-produced album 'iSaint iSinner iSelf", and the brand new album "Universes”, now available on Spotify, iTunes, Tidal and Pandora. He is also co host of Hip Hop For Change Radio kpoo 89.5 fm and the True Skool TV Podcast.
The Watershed
The Watershed began taking form in the dust and euphoria of the events of Summer 2016 in San Francisco. Coming together as friends, organizers & musicians, these multi-generational Frisconians lowly gelled into some sort of undefinable but undeniable thing; Frisco Legend Equipto, producer Brycon, MC/studio wizard Monk HTS and the super-talented city kids known as Old Soul Kollective. Beginning with the release of the Anti-Ed Lee saga “The Sco”, The Watershed released their highly anticipated self-titled debut record on May 8, 2018 on limited edition cassette, CD and on all digital platforms.
Maleik Dion
Maleik Dion is a Midwestern born hip-hop head that developed a knack for rhyming after moving to the Bay Area. He’s focused on creating music to uplift, inspire, and educate those who listen. In 2015 he started hosting showcases with his sister and began Tatu Vision. He creates with his biological and spiritual family as a form of personal and communal therapy. He strives to return the emphasis of hip hop to lyrics and content rather than image and gimmicks. He has released three projects since 2015, most recently Killer Kuts.

Gina Madrid left Mexico and moved to Oakland California in 1999, where she learned english by translating Hip-Hop lyrics from 2pac, The Fugees, and KRS-1.

Gina Madrid developed an engaging, insightful, social conscious flow that challenges our musical and gender preconceptions of Hip-Hop culture.

She has performed with artists such as Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, DJ Premier, Rakim, Raekwon, KRS-One, Ozomatli, Royce Da 5’9, Ana Tijoux, Immortal Technique to name a few.

Her EP 'Esperanza' released July 14, 2015. This project contains collaborations with Gift Of Gab of Blackalicious, DJ Shadow, Lila Rose and other Bay Area artists. Madrid is currently working on a new project which will be released late 2018.

She is definitely one the most exciting new MC's to come out of Oakland California and an artist to keep an eye on.

"Her work as both an artist and promoter represents the social consciousness and raw heart of both Mexico and Oakland" Oakulture
