Yuna
Yuna
Singer songwriter, entrepreneur from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Currently residing in Los Angeles. Growing up in Malaysia, Yuna was first inspired by the universal appeal of acts like No Doubt, The Cranberries, and Fiona Apple. At the age of 19, while in law school, she picked up a guitar and began to fervently write. She released her self-titled EP in Malaysia in 2008. The single “Deeper Conversation” became a massive success and went on to win the title of Best English Song at the 2009 AIM Awards, Malaysia’s national music awards. Yuna swept the ceremony, garnering Best Pop Song and Song of the Year for her Malay song, “Dan Sebenarnya”.

Yuna joined FADER Label in summer 2010 and released her digital EP Decorate in March 2011, which had fans, critics from Billboard, KEXP, The New York Post, and even Russell Simmons himself, who raved, “an amazing new singer…her music is incredible”, all instantly praising her talents.

Also in 2011, SPIN featured Yuna in their Buzzcatcher piece, “Eight Bands You Need to Hear Now” and she gave a stellar performance before a packed audience at MTV Iggy’s “Best New Band in the World” concert in New York City. Yuna was a finalist in the “Best New Band in the World” competition and the show aired live on MTV’s HD Screen in New York’s legendary Times Square and was also streamed live worldwide on MTVIggy.com.

In January 2012, Yuna released “Live Your Life”, the first single from her forthcoming full-length album. It started getting airplay immediately at Sirius – The Loft, KCRW and KROQ. The music video premiered on MTV2 and was featured on the homepage of VEVO.com. Yuna’s self-titled album was released on April 24, 2012. On US tour 2012
Nicotine
Nicotine
Nicotine is a Texas-born, New York-based, singer/song-writer with the world in her hands and her heart. Nicotine not only has the inspiration, but also the talent, drive, and soul power it takes to make her listeners both feel and see her words. Ever since her first single, Projections (2014), Nicotine’s career has progressed rapidly. From back to back SXSW bookings in 2014/15, to selling out BK’s Elephant Room in 2016, to booking a LIVE performance at Nylon Mag for her long awaited mini-album, An Open Letter – she has been unstoppable.

Nicotine is currently in the creative process of her highly anticipated, first full-length, solo album, Edoghu, which is set to drop June 2019. While her loyal fanbase continues to grow and wait for her second body of work, she will continue to gift them with singles, collaborations, visuals, and hints about everything else she has in store.
ASTU
Part retro soul, part nineties R&B pastiche, part New Wave-inspired synth-pop, ASTU’s music refuses to pledge allegiance to a single vibe. The Oakland-based singer/songwriter has the ability to find an easy, irresistible groove and turn it into a unhurried banger. The depth and complexity of her buttery alto on Patterns, her debut project, has garnered critical acclaim from Afropunk, Earmilk, KQED and more. From silky, slow jams to trip-hop-esque grooves, ASTU keeps us wanting more.

Variance Magazine describes her sound as "...kin to some of Solange’s recent material with the whispering confidence of Kelela..." while KQED raves, "...a particularly insightful and self-assured debut, sure to count as one of the Bay Area's most notable releases this year."
