Based in the Bay Area, California, ArtBomb is a community-driven movement which doubles as a creative showcase. It is dedicated to highlighting upcoming artists from marginalized communities, with an emphasis on female and feminine-identifying creatives of color.

Our goal is to unite, uplift, and inspire our community through the healing power of art. This event focuses mainly on visual art, with captivating body art, fashion models, and performances to close out the night. Proceeds from ArtBomb will benefit The UC Theatre’s Education program.

Art by KG
Kristina Kamphuis, also known as KG, is a visual artist and founder of ArtBomb. Born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, she moved to the California in 2008 and has been based in the Bay Area since.

Growing up with a musician mother and artist father, art came to her naturally as a child and quickly evolved into a form of self-therapy to help her cope with trauma. Shortly after graduating high school in 2011, she began to consider art as a serious career, eventually getting her start in the event industry as an intern through The UC Theatre’s Concert Career Pathways program and member of the venue’s Youth Advisory Board.

Today, she does most of her creative work from home and is pursuing digital illustration and animation. In 2018, she organized the first ArtBomb event with help from her friends, as a joint effort to create a safe and uplifting space for female and QTPoC artists and creatives. She aims to grow the brand as a collective and donate ticket proceeds to a good cause with each event.
